# Monte Carlo AI is now a full data helpdesk in Slack

You can now @ mention Monte Carlo app in any Slack channel with any data question — not just ones tied to an existing alert.

What's new:

* Ask about anything you're seeing, whether or not Monte Carlo flagged it — a dashboard that looks off, a revenue number that dropped overnight, a dbt job that failed with no clear error
* It traces lineage, checks freshness, and walks history to get to root cause, right in the thread
* Works in shared channels or DMs

Getting started:

1. In Monte Carlo platform: Settings > Integrations > Add > Slack AI
2. Invite it to a channel: `/invite @Monte Carlo AI` (or DM it directly)
3. Ask it anything: *"A stakeholder said this dashboard looks wrong — help me figure out why"*
