Allocating query cost

Some customers need to allocate the query cost of custom monitors back to the teams that created those monitors. To do this when integrated to Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift, add a different service user in your warehouse for each team, and associate each of them with a new query engine.

Once more than one query engine is associated with a given warehouse, users will be presented with the option to select between connections (query engines) when creating monitors in the UI.

Queries from custom monitors will be executed through the different service users that you have connected to each query engine, allowing you to allocate the cost of those monitors back to the respective teams.

Metadata for automated freshness, volume, and schema monitoring is collected en masse. There is not an ability to select between connections for those monitors.
