Weekly Data Reliability Summary Email

The Weekly Summary from Monte Carlo is a personalized email digest sent on Monday of each week summarizing key data reliability activity from the previous week.

The digest highlights alerts, incidents, monitor health, and team activity within a specific Domain that the recipient has access to. Each section only includes data that the recipient is authorized to view in Monte Carlo.

Sections

Domain Overview: At the top of the email you will see a weekly summary for the domain, including:

• Acknowledged alerts - the number of alerts acknowledged during the past week.
• Incidents - the number of incidents created during the past week.

Each metric includes a trend indicator comparing the selected week to the previous week.

For Your Attention: This section highlights items that may require action from the recipient.

Metrics include:

• Unresolved alerts assigned to you – alerts that are currently assigned to you and have not yet been resolved.
• Unresolved P1 or P2 alerts – high-severity alerts that remain unresolved.
• Monitors you created with an alert – monitors created by the recipient that generated alerts during the past week.
• Monitors you created currently erroring – monitors created by the recipient that are currently failing or experiencing errors.

These indicators help surface issues that may need investigation or remediation.

Your Team’s Top Alert Fixers: This section highlights users within the domain who resolved the most alerts during the past week.

View my Dashboard: At the bottom of the email is a quick link to the Data Ops Dashboard, where you can explore alerts, incidents, and monitor performance in more detail.

Managing Email Preferences

You can enable or disable this weekly digest from your User Profile.

1. Log in to Monte Carlo
2. Click your Account icon at the bottom left panel
3. Select User Profile from the dropdown
4. Under Email preferences, toggle the Weekly digest option on or off
